General description: These Viton rear main seals are not a retrofit from some other engine, but designed from a clean slate using state of the art technology and the best materials. Testing has shown a significant reduction in drag over the factory rope seal, and no leaks! For all 1961-76 3 1/4" main motors including 421, 428, 455s and 3 1/4" large journal IA/IA II and MR1 aftermarket blocks.
NOTE: In mid 2007 there was a
copy of the original BOP brand seal introduced at a lower price. These
"copy cat" seals do not have the quality and track record of the
original BOP brand seal. There have been thousands and thousands of these seals
